Who we are

Proctra is an exam-preparation platform operated by [Legal entity name — to be provided], based in India. For any privacy question, contact privacy@proctra.in.

What we collect

Account details you give us (name, email, chosen role, and exam preference). Practice and performance data (your answers, scores, topic performance and attempt history) so we can show your results and progress. Basic technical data needed to run and secure the service.

What we do NOT collect unnecessarily

We do not ask for government ID, biometrics, precise real-time location, or contact lists. We collect only what a practice platform needs.

How we use it

To run the simulator, score tests, show analytics, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.

Institute-managed accounts

When your institute creates your account, Proctra may process your data on the institute's behalf for the services the institute has enabled. The exact roles and responsibilities are set out in our agreement with that institute.

Students under 18

Many aspirants are minors. Where the law requires it, we seek verifiable parental or guardian consent and keep collection to the minimum needed. We do not run advertising-profiling on minors.

Sharing

With service providers who help us run Proctra (hosting, email, payments) under contract, and where the law requires. A current list of providers is maintained internally and available on request.

Security

Access is controlled by login, data is isolated per account and per institute, and exam answer keys are never sent to the browser. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you of a breach that affects you as required.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your account data, and withdraw consent where applicable. Email privacy@proctra.in. A grievance can be raised at grievance@proctra.in.

Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the service and for legal, accounting and security obligations, then delete or anonymise it.

We will post changes here and update the date above.
